Who are eligible for an Arya Samaj marriage?
- The groom’s minimum age has to be 21 whereas the bride should have 18.
- Any person who is a Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh can perform Arya Samaj Marriage.
- Inter-Caste Marriages and Inter-Religious Marriages are eligible in an Arya Samaj Marriage. But none of the marrying persons should be a Muslim, Christian, Parsis or Jews.
- If a non-Hindu couple would like to perform the marriage, the Samaj allows them to convert through a process called Shuddhi. Muslims, Christians, Parsis or Jews, if, out of their free will and consent are ready to convert and embrace Hindu Religion, the Arya Samaj Mandir perform a ritual called Shuddhi. Shuddhi means purification for such conversion, and thereafter, such a convert can perform Arya Samaj Marriage.
Documents requred for the performance of ARYA SAMAJ MANDIR MARRIAGE
- Date of Birth Proof (Municipal Corporation Certificate, Xth Certificate, Passport, PAN Card) of Marrying Persons.
- Residential Proof (Adhar Card / Voter Card / Passport / Driving License ) of Marrying Persons.
- Passport Size Photographs 7-7 each of Marrying Persons.
- If any party is divorcee, Certified copy of Decree of Divorce granted by the Court.
- If any party is widow / widower, Death Certificate of the dead spouse.
- 4 Witnesses With I. D. (Residence) Proof – Adhar Card / Voter I Card / Passport / Driving License / Bank Passbook.

- Affidavit: (Affidavit must)
- Age Proof: (Date of birth certificate, Market Sheet 10th Class, PAN Card, Passport)
- Residence Proof: Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving Licences
- Photograph: 7-7 Passport size photo (Boys & Girl both.)
- Witness: Two-Two Witness with Aadhar Card ID, 2-2 Photos
- Divorced: Divorcee- Degree copy of granted by the Court
- Death Certificate: If any party is widow / widower – Death Certificate of the dead spouse
Arya Samaj Marriage fees
An Arya Samaj marriage will cost you anything between Rs.9000 and Rs.11000 depending on which city the wedding takes places. But if you are planning anything ahead, then it depends on your plans and quantity. These Arya Samaj Mandir marriage fees are inclusive of the wedding rituals as well as the marriage certificate cost.
The validity of the Arya Samaj Certificate
As per the international law, the Arya Samaj marriage certificate is not a valid document. Only a marriage certificate issued by the sub-registrar is a valid one. If both the people getting married are Hindus, then an Arya Samaj marriage can be registered under the Hindu Marriage Act at the local office of the sub-registrar.
